Chris Humphreys has been working in the Marine Industry since 1983. He began working after school and during the summer as a rigger for Custom Offshore Yachts in Riverside, NJ. While working at Custom Offshore Yachts, Chris also worked part time during the summer months as a sailing instructor for Philadelphia City Sail, a sailing program for at-risk inner-city youth. After 8 years with Custom Offshore Yachts, he moved to Annapolis, Maryland in 1991. He worked as a sail maker for Shore Sails where he spent 3 years. Chris then worked for Muller Marine as a rigger for 1 year prior to beginning his employment with Garth and Sue Hichens in 1995. Chris spent 18 years of his career as Service Manager of Annapolis Yacht Sales and through collaboration and teamwork he has been awarded numerous Beneteau President’s “Service Dealer of the Year” awards. In 2001 Chris was presented with Beneteau’s dedication “Top Gun” award in 2001 at the Paris Boat show. In 2008 he was presented with the Eastport Yacht Club’s “Outstanding Marine Wizard” recognizing excellence in the Marine Trades. Chris became the COO and Principal of Annapolis Yacht Sales in 2012 and remains dedicated to focusing on our clients and providing them with the highest quality of service. Chris earned a BS degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland, University College in 1997. Chris, his wife and 3 kids reside in Stevensville, Maryland.
